Updates along the way

I'm a fan of freedom, and one of the freedoms I like the most is the freedom to work wherever I want. If computer geeks, among others, have something great is that, in most cases, we just need a laptop to work and since that is true, why not take advantage of this situation? I'm discovering that I love to work in libraries, in the university cafes, in a starbucks, in fellow offices, ... and even at home in my bed. Just wherever there's a internet connection, and nowadays is almost everywhere, I can get along. And if I can do that, imagine, I don't have to be here to work, I could do it wherever. [Full disclosure: i'm working means i'm working for myself. More full disclosure: i haven't made any money yet]. The point is that you don't need a desk, nor hundred of pencils or tons of papers, just my laptop and the notebook is all I need, and the good thing is that I dont get distracted by stupid things around. I love this freedom.

Wouldn't you like to try that? Is not just me or some random people who work for themselves. Everyday more and more companies are getting it. Some of them are implementing the ROWE, check that out. Its very cool.

Now is time for London, a city that offers tons of fun. Tomorrow i'm leaving ito London for six days to visit friends, and, probably, something great will come in this week. Stay tunned. And as always, If you happen to be there and want to meet, let me know. I'm very excited.

Me encanta la libertad, y una de las libertades que más me gusta es la de trabajar allá donde quiera. Si algo bueno tenemos los informáticos, entre otros, es que en la mayoría de casos solo necesitamos un portatil para trabajar y ya que esto es cierto, ¿por qué no tomar ventaja? Estoy descubriendo que me encanta trabajar en la biblioteca, en las cafeterias de la uni, en un starbucks, en oficinas de compañeros, ... e incluso en casa en mi cama. Allá donde haya conexión a internet, y hoy día es en casi todos los lugares, puedo trabajar. Y si puedo hacer eso, imagina, no tengo que estar aquí para trabajar, podría hacerlo en cualquier sitio. La cosa es que no necesitas un escritorio, ni cientos de bolis o papeles, sólo el portatil y una libreta es todo lo que necesito, y lo mejor es que no te distraes con las tonterías que hay alrededor. Me encanta.

¿No te gustaría probarlo? No soy solo yo o gente que trabaja para si misma. Cada día más y más compañías lo implementan, se llama ROWE.

Otras cosas. Mañana salgo para Londres, donde voy a estar seis dias visitando amigos con los que haré algunas cosas interesantes. Como siempre, si estás por ahí y quieres quedar, avísame. Más próximamente.
